En un hilo de Reddit, algunos usuarios que han podido adquirir el nuevo mando DualShock 4 en comercios de Estados Unidos, han listado juegos de PlayStation 3 que son compatibles con este nuevo mando. Aunque existen algunos juegos importantes que no funcionan con el DualShock 4, como Gran Turismo 5, FIFA 14, Grand Theft Auto V, Jak and Daxter HD Collection, Saint's Row: The Third y Resistance 3.
